Eat and drink

Margaret River is internationally renowned for its food and wine, in just under 50 years it has grown to become one of the world’s great wine producing regions, however Margaret River is also becoming known for some emerging creative boutique breweries.

Mountain biking

The Margaret River mountain bike trails around our park and within the Bramley National Park are described as ‘world class’ with our location offering ride in and ride out access. There are trails for all skills levels from beginners (families with children) through to the thrill seekers. Bikes are available for hire at reception if needed.

Farmers Markets

On Saturday mornings from 8am head to the farmers market on Bussell Hwy (near the TAFE) for a taste sensation. Pick up locally grown produce and taste chocolates, olive oils, cheeses and other local food treats.

Cape to Cape Track

The Cape to Cape track takes you across 135km of spectacular coastline of the Margaret River region. The coastline features magical karri forest, woodlands, sweeping clifftop views, remote beaches and historic lighthouses with numerous access points, offering a range of alternative walks of varied distance and time.

Caves

Over 150 highly decorated limestone caves lay beneath the surface of the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge. Formed about 1 million years ago, a number of these complex and fragile karst systems are open to the public. Go inside and be amazed by these massive labyrinths decorated intricately with limestone crystal formations.

Bushwalking

Whether you would prefer a leisurely bush walk into town, head to one of the swimming spots along the Margaret River or for an invigorating hike through the bush, there are a large number of trails surrounding our park to suit everyone’s preferences.

Koomal Dreaming Aboringinal Cultural Tour

Join WA Tourism award winner Josh Whiteland and learn about the traditional Aboriginal practices and watch an interactive demonstration of fire lighting, traditional tool making, tasting bush foods, bush medicines and more. Aboriginal cultural tours are now offered at our park.

Margaret River Dairy Company

The Margaret River Dairy Company has made the most of the regions unique structure and produced some award winning cheeses and yoghurts. View their local store for a free tasting including farmhouse cheese, club cheddars and range of quality yoghurt flavours.

Whale Watching

View these magical creatures their natural habitat on a whale watching cruise. No one cruise is the same and the experience of the ships capital is able to ensure the best viewing point. Tours depart from Augusta in June to August and during September to December, they depart from Dunsborough and Busselton.
