This European-style bakery holds the title for one of the most popular bakeries in the south west.

The eclectic and homely bakery serves up all your favourites – from huge flaky almond croissants and soft fluffy cinnamon scrolls, to hot baked pies and loaded mushroom halloumi bagels. Best of all, it’s only a 30-minute walk, 10-minute cycle or 5-minute drive from RAC Margaret River Nature Park.

Savour your goodies on the outdoor patio or relax on the cosy couches on the deck. While weekends see a long line, it tends to move quickly. After your treat, go for a leisurely bushwalk in the forest opposite the bakery, following the trail along winding river to discover a picturesque weir.

You’ll also find the Margaret River Bakery at the Margaret River Farmers Market every Saturday morning.

A winery by day, and an outdoor cinema by night.

The beautiful Cape Mentelle winery transforms into an outdoor movie cinema during summer each year, from around mid-December to the end of January. The expansive lawn becomes a sea of bean beds and picnic rugs as you snuggle up and watch new releases and classic movies under the stars.

Bean bags are available to hire, or bring your own rugs, cushions or low-back chairs to sit on. There’s a food truck on site for a bite to eat before the movie starts or pack your own picnic to enjoy.

Remember to rug up, as even those warm summer nights can drop in temperature unexpectedly in Margaret River.
