The exciting expansion project at RAC Esperance Holiday Park is now complete, with new and increased accommodation options available and bookable online now.
New buildings, road expansion, landscaping and more has transformed the space that was previously unused and in a state of disrepair. It was also home to the old Fresh Air League building, of which the restoration was a key priority for the project.
This $9.5m expansion along Goldfields Road has refreshed the area and delivers increased guest amenities and additional accommodation. With many different options available from increased camping sites, to two and three bedroom villas, to the four-bedroom Azure Lodge, there’s something for everyone.
Azure Lodge
This historic building, built in 1947, used to be part of the old Fresh Air League Building. Used to support the Eastern Goldfields Fresh Air League, an organisation dedicated to the health, welfare and enjoyment of children living in the Eastern Goldfields. Over the years it has had many uses, from accommodating Scouts groups to being used as a Youth Hostel. You can read more about the history of the Fresh Air League and the Azure lodge here.
As part of this new refurbishment, we are preserving the rich heritage of this iconic Esperance facility, pairing historical restoration with modern upgrades to produce a memorable accommodation offering.
With partial views across to Esperance Bay, this premium accommodation will offer a wealth of space for larger groups, sleeping up to 8 guests, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and large open plan dining and lounge room.
Three Bedroom Villa
Expanding our offering of our three-bedroom, two-bathroom villas will offer groups a comfortable and spacious home away from home during holidays to Esperance. With all the facilities and amenities you expect from RAC, including an outdoor veranda with BBQ and outfoot setting paired with ocean views.
Two Bedroom Villa
Another popular accommodation option we have decided to increase is our two-bedroom, one-bathroom villas. With the ability to accommodate up to 5 guests, this is another great option for groups, travelling couples or families.
Accessible One Bedroom Villa
With our continued commitment to making holidays accessible to all, we have increased our offering of accessible villas. With all the standard features including, but not limited to, spacious living and bedroom areas, a fully accessible bathroom, lowered kitchen benchtops, widened door frames and a dedicated ACROD approved parking bay only a short distance away. Along with making the accommodation accessible, across our Park we offer a range of accessible features to make a stay more comfortable for guests with increased mobility requirements, including a chair lift for entry into our swimming pool, wheelchair access to all communal buildings and supporting footpaths. This accommodation option will be available for bookings for guests with accessibility needs from mid-November. A release date will be provided soon and updated on our website and social media channels.
One Bedroom Studio
Our one-bedroom, one-bathroom studio units have always been the most popular option for couples or friends who are looking for a functional and still comfortable space during their time exploring the area.
New sites and ablution block
With the addition of 9 new standard powered caravan sites and 5 large, powered caravan sites we will be able to accommodate even more travellers looking to stretch the legs of the caravan down in Esperance. These will be serviced by the new and inclusive, unisex, ensuite ablutions blocks and new second laundry.
All additions through the new expansion are fully electric with no gas usage.
The sites will be the final part of the expansion work to become available for bookings, and currently remain closed until closer to the Christmas holiday period. Stay tuned to our website and social media for updates on when bookings for the new sites will open.
With the expansion now complete, we look forward to welcoming guests in the upcoming holiday season.
