There are many ways to explore the stunning Lake Beedelup. One of the best ways is by taking a scenic hike around the lake’s edge. The 3.5 km Beedelup Loop circuit is a gentle and pleasant track that takes you past the impressive Walk Through Tree, across suspension bridges over Beedelup Falls, and through the towering karri forest surrounding the lake.

We recommend visiting Beedelup Falls on foot to fully appreciate the beauty of the area. However, if you prefer to drive, be aware that a national park entrance fee is payable per vehicle.

The Beedelup Falls lookout platform is wheelchair accessible, and you’ll find picnic tables and toilet facilities conveniently located near the car park.

For a different perspective, explore the lake from the water. Hire a canoe or stand-up paddle board from the Activities Hut and glide your way across the calm lake. Paddle right up to the foot of the falls to admire the rocky cascades from the water.

Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy trout fishing right from the water’s edge at Lake Beedelup.

The lake is stocked with locally farmed rainbow trout, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing few hours of fishing. To get started, visit the Activities Hut to arrange permits and inquire about fishing rod and kit hire, if needed. A 24-hour fishing permit costs $10, and no freshwater fishing license is required.

You can cast a line from the main jetty near the resort or take a peaceful bushwalk to the lesser-visited jetty on the opposite side of the lake for a more secluded experience.

For more fishing adventures, Old Vasse Trout and Marron Farm is a short drive from Pemberton. This farm features another lake with rainbow trout and the possibility of catching marron.
