Rustle up your besties, get the group together and pack the car for a getaway to the forest. We’ve got your next holiday spot sorted at RAC Karri Valley Resort.
With fun group activities like canoeing and archery, a range of accommodation options to suit everyone and nature quite literally on your doorstep – RAC Karri Valley Resort is the perfect choice for your next city escape… all under a four-hour drive from Perth!
1. Accommodation for the whole group
Nestled amongst the towering karri trees are a mix of 2 and 3-bedroom self-contained chalets. The 3-bedroom chalets sleep up to 7 – perfect for groups or families.
Start your mornings on the balcony, taking in glimpses of Lake Beedelup through the forest whilst enjoying your morning coffee. Spend evenings cooking up a storm in the kitchen together before playing board games in the open kitchen and living area.
Travelling in a smaller group, or with your partner? Consider one of the luxe Lakeside Rooms. These rooms offer unobstructed views across the lake from your balcony and come equipped with a small fridge.
2. Camping with Resort facilities
Do you prefer a group camping adventure under the stars, or a budget option that comes with all the benefits of the Resort?
RAC Karri Valley Resort has a campground and caravan park with facilities to make your stay a breeze. Enjoy the modern camp kitchen, BBQ facilities and large open recreation room. Options include ensuite and powered/unpowered sites.
3. Relax in nature
You’ll find nature on your doorstep from the minute you arrive at RAC Karri Valley Resort. From foraging kangaroos greeting you on the drive into the Resort to the native birds that frequent the chalet balconies.
The Resort is situated within Beedelup National Park – teeming with native wildlife, walking trails and even a waterfall. Beedelup Falls can be accessed on foot from the Resort, as is the peculiar and aptly named Walk Through Tree.
4. Entertaining group activities
RAC Karri Valley Resort has a diverse range of experiences and activities to entertain the whole group. From archery, mini-golf, canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard hire… you can even cast a line and try your hand at trout fishing!
Explore all the options available by dropping by the Activities Hut near the lake.
5. Visit all year round
Time your visit for summer to make the most of swimming and water sports in the fresh waters of Lake Beedelup. Enjoy a BBQ down by the lake on those warm summer nights.
A stay in cooler months is best to explore the many hiking trails in the surrounding karri forest, spending nights in your chalet cosied up by the fireplace. On those crisp winter mornings, watch as mist swirls and rises from the lake in front of you.
6. Dine in the Resort
Can’t agree on whose turn it is to cook? Celebrating a special occasion?
Book in for dinner at the Lakeside Restaurant and Bar within the Resort. With full-length glass windows facing the lake, watch the forest illuminate with colour from the setting sun as you dine.
Head to the bar for happy hour from 4-5 pm, enjoying a glass of wine by the indoor log fire in cooler months.
Forgotten something? Just head to Reception and enjoy the convenience of the on-site general store. You’ll find it stocked with cold drinks, wine, snacks, pantry essentials and more.
8. Close to Pemberton
Visit the surrounding local attractions in the quaint town of Pemberton, just a short drive from RAC Karri Valley Resort. Here you’ll discover giant lookout trees, local wineries, scenic drives and delightful cafés.
