On a quiet backstreet in Pemberton surrounded by forest, you’ll discover a freshwater swimming spot, the picturesque Pemberton Pool.
Established in the 1920s for the families of timber workers, this historic pool has been a popular gathering place in the warmer months for both locals and visitors for nearly a century. The area is well equipped for a leisurely day out with picnic tables, toilets, changing rooms and barbecue facilities, making it the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon swim or a scenic picnic. The water remains refreshingly cool, even in summer!
During the summer months, a small kiosk at the pool serves refreshing ice creams, milkshakes and hot chips, perfect for a post-swim treat. The pool connects to the extensive network of mountain bike trails, including the nearby Mountain Bike Park, which features a pump track and jumps – perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.
