Hours of operation
Our reception is open 7 days a week from 8am – 6pm. Check out time is 10am.
Wi-Fi
Free complimentary Wi-fi is available to all guests.
Amenities
There are two amenity areas located around the property. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and super-vised at all times. Please be aware that we are inside a National Park and we have very tight restrictions on our water and power usage, please keep showers to a minute maximum and minimise the use of power. Please note bathroom lights are on a 15-minute timer to conserve energy and avoid attracting insects. Please consider others when using these facilities by leaving them in a neat and tidy condition. Facilities are cleaned daily.
General Store
Start your morning with a cup of freshly ground local Yahava coffee, available from Reception. Bring your own travel cup to receive a discount. A small general store is also located within Reception, offering essential items and snacks.
Camp kitchen
A camp kitchen is available for use by all guests. We have a main communal kitchen located next to the Old Mill Building. The main kitchen is fitted with 1 microwave, kettles, toasters, oven, and upright fridges, freezers.
Guests are asked to consider others when using this facility and to clean the area after use. Please ensure all food and rubbish is kept in sealed containers and expect wildlife and insects to be regular visitors!
BBQ areas
Guest BBQ area is available in the Mill Building undercover area and are marked on the park map. Please remember to leave the area clean after use and ensure gas is switched off at the bottle where applicable. Please note that open fires are prohibited at the property. Gas hot plates or BBQs are not to be used within 10 metres of trees or shrubs, please be extremely careful as bushfires can be catastrophic.
Housekeeping
Guests are kindly requested to maintain cleanliness in the amenities and camp kitchen areas after use. Our facilities are cleaned daily to ensure a pleasant environment for all guests.
Laundry
Our coin operated washing machine is located near the main camp kitchen for guest use. Please see guest map for location. Machines are coin operated, and change is available from reception during operating hours, laundry facilities are $4 per wash. Washing powder is available for a small charge from reception. The clotheslines are available near the laundry. We request that temporary clotheslines are not erected.
Alternatively, there is a laundromat with dryer amenities in town, located on Forrest Rd (behind a restaurant on the corner of Bussell Hwy and Forrest Rd). Additionally, a laundromat called WASH SALON is located at The Village (Woolworths complex) on Willmott Road. It is open daily from 7am – 10pm.
Bicycles hire
Bike hire is $60 for full day, $40 for half day. Half day hire is 8.30am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 5.30pm, full day hire 8.30am – 5.30pm. Includes helmet and bike lock. Child bikes are also available (same rates apply). You will be required to sign a Bike Hire Agreement at the office and provide a bond or leave your credit card details.
Table tennis
Have a casual game or bring out your competitive side! You can hire balls and bats from Reception. The table tennis table is available for use from 8am to 9pm. Please finish your games by 9pm in respect for guests sleeping in the dorms.
Business Services
A small range of business services are available at reception such as photocopying, printing and faxing. Please see reception during operating hours.
Woodfires
Wood fires are permitted in designated fire pits only when fire restrictions permit (no fires from late November to April). When fires are permitted, please BYO wood or purchase it from the office, $25 a bag (please do not collect from the National Park). You can also hire fire pits from Reception to enjoy at your site for $15 for the length of your stay. Alternatively, you can use the communal fire pit located in the Mill area.
Change
Coin change is available from reception during operating hours.
Accessibility facilities
The shared amenities block includes an accessibility-friendly bathroom.
Safety & security
Please take the time to read safety notices and signs throughout the property. We ask all guests to ensure they are always mindful of the following:
- Lock security doors and windows
- Ensure all valuables are out of view
- Report any suspicious activity to reception or by calling the night duty number: 0426 992 339
- Report any incidents to reception as soon as possible
- If at any time you feel unsafe or threatened, please advise reception immediately
- Report any faults or damage such as broken locks, windows or lights to reception as soon as possible so the issue can be rectified
Electricity and Lithium-Ion Battery safety:
- Only use 15A leads on powerheads
- Do not overload connection by excessive use of power boards or double adaptors
- Do not leave lithium-ion batteries such as e-rideables unattended, on charge overnight or for extended periods.
In the case of an emergency and for Police, Fire or Ambulance call 000 immediately.
