Enjoy setting up camp right on the beach with our Powered Beach Sites. These sites are on hard-shell grit ground suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and some tents. Each powered site has access to 240 volts/15-amp power, fresh water and a sullage point for grey water. Heavy duty screw in pegs and drill required. Drills are available from Reception during office hours. BYO shade is recommended. All sites are within a short walk of our camping facilities, including camp kitchen, BBQ areas, shared amenities block, laundry, and recreation room. You will also find our resort facilities close by, with our swimming pool, wading pool, a restaurant and bar, mini golf course and more all offering hours of fun and entertainment. You’re also welcome to bring your four-legged friend, with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed per site. Please note that pets must be supervised and kept on a lead at all times, and there are some shared areas pets aren’t allowed.

Checking in and out

Check-in from 2pm daily. Reception is open until 8pm, if you are arriving outside of reception hours you can register for contactless check-in.

Check-out is at 10am daily. You can access contactless check-out with the reception team during your stay.

Parking

One car and trailer is permitted per reservation. Visitors may leave their car in the guest car park.

Add-ons

When booking via our website, you can add an airport shuttle transfer to your booking for $25pp each way.

Payment info

You are able to pay via credit card, BPay, gift card or payment plan. When booking online, you will be asked to pay 1 nights deposit to secure your booking. Full payment is required 3 days prior to your arrival. If your arrival date is within 7 days of your booking being placed, you will be required to pay in full upfront.

Booking cancellations

You can cancel your booking up to 72hrs prior to arrival without penalty. Bookings cancelled within 72hrs of arrival will forfeit the cost of your first nights stay.

Q Can I request to stay next to my friends or family?

Our website does not currently allow you to make group bookings.

For your best chance to secure side by side accommodation or sites, we recommend that each family book their own site/accommodation and then have a representative of your group email our team with your groups booking numbers at the earliest convenience. Our team will then endeavour to situate you next to each other. Please allow 3-5 business days for an email response.

Q When can I book school holidays?

Due to high volume demand, we have a repeat booking and release process in place for school holiday periods. Find out more about school holiday bookings here.

Q How do I claim my RAC member discount?
A
When booking online, enter your RAC member number in step 2 of the booking process. You can find your RAC member number on your member card, on your bill or by logging into myRAC. The RAC member discount is only available when booking direct.

Q What is the cancellation policy at RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort?

You can cancel up to 72hrs prior to your arrival without penalty.

Q Can I feed the emus?
A
For your safety and the safety of others, please DO NOT feed the emus. We are seeing emus demonstrating aggressive behaviour towards people and dogs. This behaviour is encouraged by unlawful feeding. To protect yourself, kids, pets and other guests, please:
- Do not feed the emus
- Do not leave rubbish outside your tent/van/room
- Store your food out of sight
- Supervise children with food
- Keep your pets close
- Store pet food and water out of sight
- Guard/cover your food in BBQ areas and on tables
Please report any incidents with emus to staff.

Q Is the resort pet-friendly?

We have pet-friendly powered and unpowered sites available. Pets must be included in your booking, which you can do by adding them to the guest drop down when you place your booking online.

Pets must be kept on a lead at all times while in the park and must not be left unattended. There are some shared spaces where pets are not allowed, including the pool, recreation room and camp kitchens.

Q What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in is from 2pm, and check-out is by 10am.

Please note that our reception closes at 8pm. If you are arriving after this time, please get in touch with our team ahead of your stay to organise after-hours check-in.

We will also provide you with an after-hours or emergency contact number upon your arrival for added peace of mind.

Boats and trailers must be parked in the public boat parking area located outside of the resort.

Q Is there an airport shuttle service available to the resort?

Yes, we offer an airport shuttle service to and from the resort for a fee. You can add this to your booking when checking out.

Q What is the additional fee paid on arrival?
A
A reserve entry fee is charged by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) for entry into the Monkey Mia Reserve where our RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort is located, as well as Shark Bay.

This fee is not paid to our resort, but paid direct to DBCA for the continued care, welfare, management, and research of the Monkey Mia dolphins. The fee is not included in any of our accommodation costs. You can read more about it here.

We have an on-site general store which stocks a large range of grocery and holiday essentials.

The nearest supermarket is Shark Bay Supermarket, located a 20-minute drive from the resort.

Q Can you swim at Monkey Mia?
A
Yes, you can swim at Monkey Mia. The clear waters are excellent for diving, swimming, and snorkelling.

Q Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we have free Wi-Fi available for our guests to use.

Q Do you have laundry facilities?

Yes, please refer to the Resort map for laundry locations. Washing and drying machines are available for guest use for a small fee. Washing powder is available for a small charge from the General Store or from the vending machines located in the Dolphin Lodge, Powered & Unpowered Laundry. Clotheslines are also available.

Q What is in your general store?

Our general store is stocked with all your daily essentials, offering a wide range of snacks, cold drinks, and souvenirs, plus fishing and beach accessories.

Yes, linen is provided in all villa, studio, room, and dorm accommodation.

Please note that we do not offer pool towels, so you will need to bring these with you.

Our camp kitchens are equipped with kettles, toasters, microwaves, stovetops, fridges, and hot water.

Please note we do not have communal pots, pans, cutlery, or cooking utensils, so make sure to bring these with you.

Q Stormwater management
A
Uncontrolled stormwater drainage from the Resort has the potential to negatively impact marine species as it can transport rubbish, sediment and nutrients into the marine environment. Stormwater management drains have been installed on the property to contain stormwater and prevent it from flowing to the foreshore area and into the marine environment.
